Multiple intelligence - Classroom poster - Ask questions to relate lesson to life
Multiple intelligence is a theory that has practical applications in the classroom. One of these applications is to help the students correlate every single lesson with at least one aspect of our daily life.
This can be done by encouraging the students to ask the proper questions. These questions are the key to thinking about each lesson in a practical way.
This poster is a visual aid that can be used both as a guide to help the students doing so, and to decorate the classroom. It is a 40 inch x 28 inch portrait page in PDF format.
In the middle of the picture, all the nine intelligences and how they integrate to make the whole of a human are shown. On the top right side of the image, this holistic view is being represented symbolically. From each type of intelligence from the picture comes an arrow with a bubble at the end. Inside this bubble there are three things, one word showing the practical meaning of this intelligence on the top, then two sets of questions, in white and pink colors. These questions are of two levels, the awareness and the mastery levels. Being aware of this type of intelligence means you can ask the first set of questions whenever you face a new situation. Mastering this intelligence means you are able to ask the second set. If you are creative in the field of this intelligence, then you must be able to ask the question at the bottom of the page.
Whenever a lesson is finished, the students can be referred to this poster to pick up the proper group of questions that can be asked to relate this lesson to real life.
